Kiera and I went to the county fair a week ago, and had a great time looking at all the animals, but by far the best was the horse Tommy. Kiera was sooooo excited to see Tommy that I had to keep her at arms length otherwise she would have hurt the poor thing...LOL

Yeah, so if you haven't figured it out by the post timestamps, I can't sleep. So the blog's getting all 'pictured up' a la Lisa. Didn't think anyone would mind. I already did responsible stuff like checking my work email. And this is more fun than unpacking.

Oh, we volunteered to get bumped off our flight home, as Frank and I couldn't get seats together on the plane home (stupid airplane people) so we got two vouchers for round trip tickets anywhere in the continental U.S. and Canada. Yay for free travel. We only had to wait two hours for the next flight AND we got seats together.

Now, onto the pictures....

"Alena, there's a priceless work of art behind you." "But mom... LOOK! A car!"

We found these fountains in Millenium Park after dinner... ha, found them, like they were undiscovered by man before that. Anyway... yes, it's a giant TV screen... and a fountain kids could run around in and get wet. AND! Every now and then the faces would pucker up, and squirt water out of their mouths. Quite interesting.

Also in Millenium Park is this giant shiny jellybean thing. Ghost Egg? Ghost Cloud? It was called something like that. Which was currently shrouded and undergoing a 're-shining' so they only had a little part peeking out. It was VERY shiny.

Picasso. Fun enough to slide down. At least Alena's looking at this one. No, I take that back... she's looking at that pigeon. She really liked the pigeons.

We had dinner at an outdoor cafe in Millenium Park. Am I spelling Millenium wrong? Anyway, it's a touch blurry but it was the happiest Alena was through all of dinner time. If there's one thing everyone learned about her this weekend, is that she is quite willful and very happy to publicly demonstrate this tendency. Rose was very sweet and called it "personality".

Connor and I stayed in Rose, Eric and Ben's suite, so Connor and Ben spent a lot of time together. Eric (Rose's DH) took tons of pics of the whole trip, so I didn't take too many pictures (since he is a lot more skilled than I am!). But I took a few interesting ones of the boys together.
